Don’t call us, we’ll call you

Bad news, good news

Bad news:  Addison took her first big spill down the stairs (of which there are MANY in my parents’ split-level house) last night.

Good news:  She was okay . . . and we got our most animated injury-narration to date.  “Down!  BUMP!!  Whoa!” as she wildly pointed from the stairs to the floor to her head and back.

Good news:  We did our first family beach trip yesterday while my brother and his family were in town.  Addison loved getting chased by the waves and stayed down at the water for a crazy long time considering that . . .

Bad news:  the water was FREEZING cold.  This was no typical Labor Day beach excursion.  No sun.  Blue lips.  Limbs amputated from frostbite.  But still worth it.

Bad news:  The beach definitely took its toll and I’ve been pretty much useless since yesterday afternoon.

Good news:  That gave me some long-missed blog reading time in which I read Sara’s post on couple’s Zodiac compatibility.  After reading hers, I had to find mine and Neal’s — which is altogether too racy to post in its entirety (I’m pretty sure there were some crude euphemisms I didn’t even understand).  But I did learn some important things like:

The secret to this magick is to understand how much Aries is always looking for someone strong enough to push back!  That is Aries Heaven, Aries Nirvana, Aries Jannah – someone who saves you from your own excesses, who calls you on your b— s—, who puts you back in your place when you just can’t get it right yourself.  (Aries don’t start out to be obnoxious. They just wind up there half the time.)  Put back in his place –that’s when the Ram turns into the Little Lamb that followed Mary to school.  A Scorpio woman can produce this result with a single look.  Scorpio women are a good mirror for Aries men in that – without even trying – Scorpio women are usually so powerful they scare people.  Not a problem here.  Aries is never scared even when they should be.  You are beginning to see the bounty of this pairing.

How to Attract an Aries Man as a Scorpio Woman:  You can turn up the headlights, girl.  Whereas most men cover their privates and slink out the back door, imagining that you are a castrating maw of dark feminine energy (Joan Crawford comes to mind), Aries is turned on and comes fast forward.

Degree of Marriage:  There is tremendous potential in this couple for marriage.  Neither sign ever gives up on anything so they have a better chance than most to make it last.

A relationship this alive is very  intense.  I think you may feel like killing each other from time to time but the love will never end.

Rating: 10/10

Okay, so maybe I didn’t need to include all of that, but the “castrating maw of dark feminine energy” line was just too classic.  And a 10 out of 10 — that’s pretty good, no?  And to think we did six months of marriage counseling to understand each other better when we could have just read this.

  1. I laughed hard when I read Sara’s, but I laughed even harder when I read this. “That’s when the Ram turns into the Little Lamb that followed Mary to school”?!?! Who has time to sit down and come up with this b–s–?!

  2. Just read my compatibility with Dan. Turns out we shouldn’t be together, since I’m too nag-gy and he’s too chaotic for my tastes. lol! Horoscopes crack me up. Also, I’m glad you made it to CA in one piece! I bet Addison will figure out the stairs in no time, AND will learn to be a beach lover. Post more; I miss your frequent updates 🙂
